Roadmap

Roadmap for upcoming Sporelight features including JRPG-style combat, faction systems, mini-games, and narrative expansion in the fifth book.


The following features are planned for future updates. Please note that these are subject to change based on player feedback and development priorities.

Combat System

  • Auto Battle System (MVP) – Turn-based JRPG-style combat featuring Gabriel as the sole playable character at first. Ava joins after completing key missions. Combat is automated with unique personality-driven behaviors and mutation systems.

  • Focus Points (v2) – Choose one character's action per round using focus points. Ava and Gabriel will have unique attack types influenced by personality and stress.

  • Equipment & Weapons (v3) – Characters can be equipped with gear that alters stats, resistances, and unlocks new attack types.

  • Elemental Combat (v4) – Introduces elemental types (e.g., fire, cryo) tied to equipment. Enemies and environments will have resistance and weakness systems.

  • Mutant Kill Missions (v5) – Certain missions will require eliminating mutants, introducing corpse cleanup and moral decisions tied to Ava’s mutation.

Gameplay Systems

  • Item Attributes – Use items to boost your attributes during missions. Includes trade-offs for converting negative scores using resources or emotional costs (still in prototyping).

  • Factions – Missions aligned with moral philosophies. Your choices influence relationships with key factions in the Sporelight world.

  • Mini-games – Interactive mechanics tied to specific mission types, offering skill-based bonuses or outcomes.

  • Score Board – A personal and global ranking system based on mission stats, decisions, and character progression.

Narrative & Expansion

  • Fifth Book – A new chapter in the Sporelight universe, expanding Ava’s journey and unlocking new lore-driven mission chains.
